It was delightful visiting Germany in December. Here are a few photos of Erfurt. When "furt" appears in the name of a city, it refers to a place to "ford" a river or stream. In Erfurt a famous row of houses is built as a bridge over the river. The church on the left of the ferris wheel is the Erfurt Dom where Luther was ordained a priest in 1507. "Zur Hohen Lillie" is a famous ancient restaurant on the square.
