Pres. Harrison - I just wanted to say how excited I was to see Pres. Samuel at your Installation - 2 of our daughters are adopted from India (you actually met them that day right when you were leaving and I brought them to shake your hand), and I was thrilled to be able to show them that there are Christians in/from India, and have them play with the daughters of a seminarian from India at the party afterwards. I also am thankful you posted Archbishop Obare's sermon, as my 5 wee 'Sermon Listening Distractors' attended with me in Wyneken, so it was difficult for me to listen. My husband was in seminary at the same time Walter was, and he was such a gentle and humble man - we drove him around for hours lost once to see 4th of July fireworks and he didn't complain once :). It is wonderful to now have the priviledge of hearing him preach! May God continue to give you wisdom and strength to fullfill the plans He has for you- Kathy Seeger
It's very encouraging to see so many representatives from worldwide confessional Lutheranism were present at your installation as president of the LC-MS. This was undoubtedly a very significant presence on many levels.
I do hope someone was there from my own church, the Lutheran Church of Australia.
Time lost is time when we have not lived a full human life, time unenriched by experience, creative endeavor, enjoyment, and suffering. ~Dietrich Bonhoeffer
