Gene Sheldon (1908-82) performs his banjo act on the Jackie Gleason Show in the 50's. Delightful, especially for those of us who have a personal affliction involving banjos. Sheldon - as this clip demonstrates - was not only a comedic genius, he was a gifted four-string player. Part of this gag illustrates an old banjo joke. "How do you know when a banjo player is knocking at the door? The knocking speeds up and he doesn't know when to come in."
