Chances are that you are familiar with St Coltrane's African Orthodox Church in San Francisco:
http://www.coltranechurch.org/
From what I heard, originally, the founders of the church thought Coltrane was an avatar of God, but it took the AOC to correct that theology.
This is sort of like me having a church that uses the early works of Kitaro as its basis of meditation-- not recommended nor approved by the Lutheran Confessions, but you gotta admit, very cool. (I think that this Buddhist guy must have found a tear in the space-time continuum and when he stuck his ear in it, heard the sounds of heaven.)
Which reminds me: I do not know whether the Lutheran Church has a congregation named in honor of Bach. That would be two scoops of awesome.
Time lost is time when we have not lived a full human life, time unenriched by experience, creative endeavor, enjoyment, and suffering. ~Dietrich Bonhoeffer
